Teaching Colloquium 30 Oct 2017 CL B-20

Date:
30 Oct 2017
Location:
CL B-20

Our Teaching Colloquium for this semester will be held MONDAY, OCTOBER 30 from 12:30 to 2:00 in CL B-20. That's just around the corner, so mark your calendars!

The topic for the colloquium will feature a workshop from TA Services called "Maximizing Your Inheritance: Effectively Adapting 'Inherited' Course Materials," and will focus on how to take syllabi, assignments, and other materials passed down to you from previous instructors and adapt them to your own pedagogical strengths, interests, and goals. The workshop will explore strategies for effectively adapting a course you didn't necessarily create -at least not in whole - and to make it your own.

There will be refreshments of some kind - still in the works. You are also welcome to come with snacks or brownbag style.

Please respond to Nic (nicbarilar@pitt.edu, CC'd here) if you plan to attend - by 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 26, we need an approximate headcount for the folks at TA Services.

Thank you! I look forward to seeing many of you there!
