Claire Syler is a director and actress whose credits include: Dividing the Estate, Intimate Apparel (TN Repertory Theatre); Richard III, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Shakespeare’s Case, The Tempest, The Importance of Being Earnest (Nashville Shakespeare Festival); Mother Courage, The Little Prince (People’s Branch Theatre); Sound of Music (MO Summer Rep); Macbeth (Playhouse on the Square). Professional training includes work with the SITI Company, Shakespeare & Company, and The Lessac Institute.

Before coming to Pittsburgh, Syler served as the Education Director of the Nashville Shakespeare Festival as well as on the faculties of Middle TN State University, Belmont University, and the TN Governor’s School for the Arts. She has extensive experience as a teaching artist, arts administrator, and facilitator of arts education initiatives in school and community settings.
