The Say Her Name Memorial Gown is a stunning, woven art piece that illustrates the vibrant boldness of Black women while providing searing focus on the violence, horror, and terror that has plagued Black women as an inexplicable consequence of America’s racist DNA. Designed by award-winning director and costumer KJ Gilmer, the Say Her Name Memorial Gown will be on display at the University Art Gallery located in the Frick Fine Arts Building. Emily-Ann Stevens helped to light this art installation.
