Devising is the process of building theatre from scratch. Character, story, and movement are constructed collaboratively, using everything from film to visual art, graphic novels, music videos, and TikTok as source material. The term begins with Viewpoints movement training, and cluminates in teh public performance of a new ensemble work. Our last class evolved into the UP Stages production of RECOIL. Later performed at the Smithsonian. Directors and performers interested inforging bold, expressive stage compositions are encouraged to register.
