Although Pittsburgh isn’t exactly what I would call the city of love, the University of Pittsburgh takes us to the heart of "amor." With an all female cast, save the two gentlemen playing our Casanova, Guido Contini, we are shown all of the extraordinary charms a lady can possess and how that has, in turn, possessed the work of Contini, leading to his acclaim and success. The work of Arthur Kopit (Book), Maruy Yeston (Lyrics/Music), which was adapted from the work of Mario Fratti, Nine takes us to the heart of all art forms and crashes them down all around us.
