Nyred Jackson

Nyred Jackson is a first-year PhD student in Theatre and Performance Studies and earned their MA in Theatre Arts from Villanova University in 2026. While completing their Master's degree, they were Production Dramaturg on two mainstage productions, Into the Woods and Arcadia, and performed onstage as Hot Blades Harry in Urinetown. They also enjoy being a lighting engineer and sound designer. Their research mainly surrounds the hijab as an perpetually active object on the American stage, but their secondary interests include fursuiting and furry performance, 18th century American history and Sally Hemings. They are often seen walking their leash-trained cat Tinkerbell around the city.
